Update About my Life!
August 29, 2026
Hello hello, my friends!
It's been a long, fruitful year and a half. I'm excited to give updates!
First of all, the most obvious: the site has been freshened up again! I'm excited about all the changes I've made in the last few weeks. Most predominantly, I've updated the Shop to be of my own making! I'm no longer going through Big Cartel (no shade to them in the slightest!! Just wanted to do my own thing), instead I'm selling through itch.io and creating widgets to be hosted here, on my home turf.
I've also added an entire new section of my site dedicated to the Old Web and connection through creation. It's called Mycie's Corner! Click the button at the top of the home page (though do keep in mind that it's not mobile friendly, so check it out on a computer or at your own peril lol).
In the last year and a half, so much has happened in my personal life. To give the broad strokes:
- I moved to Minneapolis!
- I had a baby!!!!! She's the best thing that's ever happened to me, or the world in general. (no, you can't see her, I'm not posting my kid on the internet, #sorrynotsorry)
- I found a community of friends and found family, whom I adore with all my heart.
- I've been to the doctor about a billion times and had about a thousand invasive procedures done, which I'm grateful for and also exhausted by.
- I was finally certified as disabled and my wife will be caring for me.
- I went to therapy a whole bunch, finally got diagnosed with OCD, then got a grip on my OCD! Yay me!!
- I'm tabling at an event next month where I'll be selling my zines!! I can't express how excited I am for this event!
In a nutshell, I'm living my best life right now. Things have gotten so good for me lately, and I can honestly say this is the happiest I've ever been in my entire life. I feel like everything has been coming together, and I'm entering my 30s smarter, stronger, and ready to take on the world.
During this time, I've been in what I'd like to think of as a creative renaissance. I had no idea how deeply Minneapolis cares for creatives! There have been so many opportunities for me to learn new skills and showcase my work. Lately I've been addicted to learning about lace, particularly bobbin lace and tatting lace, but I've also been working slowly but surely on an exhibit I'll hopefully submit to a local fiber arts gallery in the next couple of years. We'll see!
With this explosion of creativity has come many, many new zines. I've been so proud of myself for the zines I've made just in the last week alone! If you're interested in checking them out, slide on over to the Shop, some of them are free and can even be viewed in the browser!
Thanks for reading all of this, I'm grateful for you. You're amazing and I hope you have a wonderful day! :)
New Zine Just Dropped!

Recycle This Zine! Expanded Edition! - A Guide to Recycling Paper with a Water Bottle
I'm super excited to be releasing this expanded version of one of my favorite zines! This zine goes much more in depth into the process of recycling paper with a water bottle, expanding on each step as well as the necessary (and optional) resources needed to do so. There are also illustrations, which has been super fun to produce!
Unlike its older sibling, which is eight pages including the covers, this expanded version contains fourteen informational pages within its covers while still maintaining a one-sheet format. Hopefully making paper with it will be much easier now!
If you'd like to grab a copy, Recycle This Zine! Expanded Edition! is now in the shop for $10!
Enjoy!
Big Site Update!
January 4, 2025
First of all, happy new year, everyone! Out with the old, in with the new!
With this new year comes a lot of changes for me! I'm introducing a new life into the world (they should be here sometime in May!), and I'm confronting some health concerns that have too long been neglected. I'm excited for where life is taking me!
As you can see, the website has also changed significantly! While before, it was very "Baby's First Neocities Site," it has now taken on a whole new personality. It's grown up, as it were. The appearance is much cleaner, and I've introduced newer, sleeker (more sleek?) pages that do what I want them to, nothing more and nothing less. I've done this for a few reasons, but I'll get to that in just a moment.
Tour of the new site
Home
The new Home page will contain blog posts (like this one you're reading right now!). I'll be posting articles such as updates to the site, new zine releases, little updates about my life if I feel like it, and any questions that I may receive from viewers like you!
Zines
This is a portfolio of various zines that I'm proud of and would like for you to see! Each zine on this page will be posted in full, as well as a description of what the zine is, what my inspiration was for making it or the time period it was made, and a note about whether it will be posted on my shop (more on that in a moment!).
At the moment, viewing the images is just a little tricky, so I've included instructions on how to view them to the best of your ability depending on what kind of browser you're viewing this site in. In the future, I'd like to make them expandable, but JavaScript is still slightly foreign to me. I'm working on learning it better, so they should be clickable soon. In the meantime, I hope you're able to enjoy the zines as they are!
Shop
This is the part I'm most excited about!!! I've finally created a hub for selling my zines! Thanks to Big Cartel, you can finally purchase my zines in an easy and accessible way. I accept payment through Stripe and Paypal!
At the moment, I only have one zine available on the site: Recycle This Zine! - A Guide to Recycling Paper with a Water Bottle. I'm super excited to be selling this zine, it's one of my absolute favorites and is reproduced by hand each time. I make it out of whatever paper I can find, and, while it will always contain the same information, it looks a little different each time I make it! It's such a fun process, and I think it has the most utility out of all the zines I've made.
Head to the shop if you'd like to grab a copy, it's $5.00 and will be made to order!
What's next?
I'm so glad you asked!
Right now, I'm working on a full-sized zine! It's going to be about OCD, and it will be printed through Mixam. This is my first time creating a digital zine of this magnitude and printing through a third party, and I'm really excited about how it will turn out! I'll be doing pre-orders when I'm finished, so stay tuned!
That's pretty much what I've got going on! Enjoy!
