Only Death Can Walk (who is missing part of the title due to wear and weak glue) is a brutal look at what sexual abuse did to my psyche as a teen. It also discusses the growth I underwent and how I was able to make it out of that mentality.
The Garden of the Asylum was originally conceived as notes taken during a meditation session wherein I was deeply troubled about my place in the world as relates to capitalism and consumerism. During this time period of my life, I fell deeply in love with the works of Vincent Van Gogh, particularly his studies of the garden of the asylum where he spent the last portion of his life. He wrote a letter to his brother during his stay in the asylum which discussed the discomfort he and his companions felt, which he called "seeing red."
Each page contains one of his works created during this time, and each one's subject is contained in this garden.
